HORTON, Mary June Tuggle 80, formerly of Denver, CO, died June 6, 2011, in Monticello, GA. June Horton was born and raised in Monticello, GA. Her parents were the late Robert Franklin Tuggle, Sr. and Ivah Sue Williams Tuggle. She lived in Denver, CO for a number of years before returning to Monticello in November, 2010.

She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She retired from the Arapahoe/Douglas County Vocational High School in Englewood, CO, and received the Top Educator award in Early Childhood Development for the State of Colorado.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence Rhea Horton of Monticello; sons, Kenneth Rae Horton of Monticello and John Clarence Horton of Denver, CO; granddaughter, Juniper Horton of Denver, CO; and brother, John Leon Tuggle of Monticello.

June was a very special lady.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Wed, June 8, in the chapel of Monticello First United Methodist Church in Monticello, GA. Interment will be held in West View Cemetery in Monticello, GA.
