John Lee"Leon" Tuggle, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at the Monroe County Hospital in Forsyth. He was born in Monticello, to the late Robert Frank Tuggle and Iva Sue Williams Tuggle. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister, Robert F. Tuggle, Jr. and Mary June Tuggle Horton. Before retirement Leon was a Forestry technician for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, from 1978 until 1986, He and his family moved to Arkansas, from 1986 until 1989, they lived in Tennessee. They returned to Monticello in 1989. after retirement, he worked as a timber consultant.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 11, 2016, at 11:00 A.M., at Monticello First United Methodist Church. Interment will be held in the Tuggle-Fears Cemetery in Monticello. Rev. Clyde Carter will officiate.
