Richland County and Knox County border each other. The parentage of Christopher has not been 100% proven.
Christopher married Eliza Shields either in Pennsylvania or Ohio. Christopher and Eliza had at least 9 children. In 1853 he moved to Cedar County, Iowa, purchasing land from the US Government. Eliza died in 1865 and he remarried in 1871 to Johanna McGrew Taylor. Christopher was a farmer all of his working life, first in Ohio, then Cedar County Iowa and finally in Woodbury County, Iowa. He apparently died without a will as per the attached news clipping.
