Benjamin F. Yoakum, aged 77, a veteran of the Civil war and for years engaged in the live stock business, died at 5:20 o'clock Friday morning in Hotel Main, following a stroke of paralysis at 4 o'clock last Sunday morning. Pneumonia developed and he never regained consciousness.
Coming from Monticello to Decatur 25 years ago, Mr. Yoakum boarded with Mrs. Dollie Roberts.
Burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery.
