Mrs. Krainik, who was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. Reindl, old residents of this village, was born March 8, 1858, at Kellnersville, Manitowoc county, this state. On July 21, 1874, she was married to Anton Krainik. Four children were born to them: three sons, Frank, Thomas, and Joseph, and one daughter, Mary, who passed away eleven years ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Krainik came from Manitowoc county to this vicinity in 1882 and settled on a farm in the town of Dane, not far from Lodi village. There they made their home until December 1923, when they moved to town into the old E. Nichols residence which they had bought and modernized in anticipation of several years of retired ease. They celebrated their golden wedding on July 21st, last.
Mrs. Krainik's death occurred on Tuesday, Dec. 23d, as published in the Enterprise last week. The funeral was held Friday morning at St. Patrick's church, the Rev. Father Schweitzer officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. The pall bearers were Emil Spewacek, Fred Barta, Raymond Schuster, and the three sons, Frank, Thomas and Joseph Krainik.
Those attending the funeral from away included Stephen Krainik, Charles Krainik, Emil Spewacek, Fred Barta, Manitowoc; Mrs. Frank Eskrige, Miss Blanche Spewacek, Janesville; Miss Libby Spewacek, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. John Reindl, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Reindl, Fred Schmiedlin, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schuster, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Schuster, and Tony E.
