Rickey Don Tinsley, 19 a lifelong resident of Commerce died at 7:10 a. m. Saturday in St. John’s hospital, Tulsa, of injuries received Friday night in a motorcycle-pickup truck collision at Picher.
Tinsley was headed west on East A street when his small motorcycle and a pickup driven by Alva Donald Burke, 37, Picher, collided at the intersection of East A and Mable streets. Alfred Stallion was riding with Burke. They were not injured.

Tinsley suffered head injuries and multiple fractures of his left leg. He was not wearing a helmet. After emergency treatment at Miami Baptist hospital, he was transferred to St. John's, Tulsa.
Investigators said the eastbound pickup truck was making a left turn from A street at the time of the collision at 8:45 p.m.
Officers participating in the investigation included Picher Police Chief Ladell Morgan, Highway Patrolman Vernon Anderson and District Attorney Thomas H. May.
The death was Ottawa county’s seventh traffic fatality of the year and the fourth since Memorial Day, May 30. The county's traffic toll for all of 1968 was seven.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Susan Tinsley of Commerce; an infant son, Rickey Don, Jr.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walt Tinsley of Commerce, and a half brother, Jerry Smith, of Miami.
Arrangements will be announced by the Jim Thomas funeral home of Commerce.
Tinsley's death and that of two others raised Oklahoma's 1969 traffic toll to 391, compared with 335 at the same time last year.
Jack Edwards, 46, an El Paso, Tex., truck driver was killed Saturday when his truck collided with a car on the Bailey Turnpike just south of the Walters toll gate.
