Ralph Waldo (Walt) Tinsley, 74, of Commerce died at 5:16 p.m. Tuesday in Miami Baptist hospital after a long illness.
He was born Aug. 4, 1899, at Brumley, Mo., and moved from Picher to Commerce 30 years ago. Before retirement, he was in the auto salvage business.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Juanita Tinsley, of the home on North Jefferson street, a stepson, Jerry Smith, Miami; two sisters, Mrs. Erma Francis of Torrance, Calif., and Mrs. Glee Wright, Kingman, Ariz., and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 pm. Thursday in the Jim Thomas & Son funeral home chapel, Commerce with minister Lincoln York officiating.
Burial will be in GAR cemetery, Miami. Pallbearers will be Gabe McKenzie, Don VanCura, Jerry Feezell, Glen Pruitt, Jim Minson and Claud Dickerson.
