MEEHAN, Doris Borah passed away on March 29, 2010, just shy of her 89th birthday. Doris was a long time resident of Middletown before moving to Philadelphia, PA. She was, at one time, a part of the Middletown Symphony Orchestra playing percussion instruments alongside her husband Dwight, a violinist. She will be remembered by some who came to her nursery school which operated for many years. Others will remember our mother for her gracious acts of kindness. We, her children, knew Mother as a woman of courage and strength, as a woman who loved us waveringly, and as a woman who was graced with a tremendous dose of creativity and wit. We will remember her beautiful, soprano voice singing her favorite hymn, " I Know Whom I Have Believed." We are comforted because we know she is singing again! Doris was widowed twice. She laid to rest James Miller while in her thirties. Her husband, Dwight Meehan went on before her in 1987. Also deceased is her son, Keith Miller, and her granddaughter, Candice Huehn. Doris is survived by her children: Barry Meehan of Philadelphia, PA; Valerie Dearth of Somerville; and Cathy Drozdenko of Oregon.
