Velma Lee Borah Creighton passed away Friday, May 27, 2011 at 96 years of age. She was born to Frank and Emily Borah in Fairfield, Illinois, and lived for more than 40 years in Altadena, California before moving to Columbia, South Carolina almost nineteen years ago.
Mrs. Creighton will be remembered by her family and friends for her avid love of reading, her playful sense of humor, and most of all her kind gentle loving spirit. She is survived by her daughter, Alma Creighton Kinzley and son, Richard Creighton; her son-in-law and daughter-in-law Dean Kinzley and Linda Louis Creighton; her grandchildren, Judd and Patrick Kinzley, Anne and David Creighton, Cliff Gellings; and her two great grandchildren, Ada and Nev Creighton.
A celebration of her life will be held in Bandon, Oregon and Fairfield, Illinois at a later date.
