Mrs. Bessie Aldred, 66, widow of Jack W. Aldred, died at home January 16, 1942. Her funeral will be held on January 18, 1942 at Sandersville Baptist Church, Rev. Carey T. Vinzant and Rev. E.G. Orahood officiating. Burial will be in the Old City Cemetery, Sandersville. She was the daughter of the late Thomas H. Sparks, Civil War veteran, and Martha Elizabeth Mathis Sparks. Survivors include her brother, Battle Sparks, and sister, Miss Mamie Sparks, and several nieces and nephews.
