Surviving are a son, Blake Tyler Herbert of The Colony, Texas; four daughters, Alice H. Derrickson of Lyells, Marguerite H. Newman of Kinsale, Mariana H. Evans of Richmond, and Clara H. Taylor of Moneta; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five children, John W. Herbert, Ernest S. Herbert, Jr., Virginia Webb, Minerva Bryant, and Marilyn Herbert.
A funeral service was held April 11, at Welch Funeral Home Montross with the Rev. Malcolm Hutton officiating. Burial was in Saint James Cemetery, Tidwells.
Pallbearers were George C. Hundley, Frank Bowen, Jr., George Saunders, Jr., Tyler Newman, William Beauchamp and James Boaz.
