Minerva Ruth Herbert Bryant, age 72, wife and mother, died November 3, 1999 at a Rehabilitation Center in Huntsville, Ala. Mrs. Bryant was the widow of Oren G. Bryant, an active member of Cople Parish Episcopal Church, until her illness.
Survivors are her son, Gilbert H. Bryant and his wife of Huntsville, Ala.; her mother, Mrs. Margaret Herbert Carroll of Warsaw; her sisters, Mrs. Alice Derrickson of Warsaw, Mrs. Marguerite Newman of Kinsale, Va., Mrs. Marianna Norwood of Richmond, Mrs. Clara Taylor of Alexandria, and her brother, Mr. Blake T. Herbert of Rowelett, Texas.
A funeral service was held November 8, with interment in Yeocomico Episcopal Church, Tucker Hill, Westmoreland County, Va., with the Rev. Tim Steeves officiating.
Pallbearers were James Ficklin, Dennis Standbridge, Allen Clark, Ray Clark, William Holloway and Wendell Derrickson.
Her son would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Mary Ficklin, Mrs. Mable Garland, Mrs. Mae Packett, Mrs. Edna Hennage, Mr. Edward Hundley, Mrs. Sarah Hundley, the members of Cople Parish Episcopal Church, Edgewater United Methodist Church, Coles Point United Methodist Church, and Winchester Road Baptist Church, Huntsville, Al., for all the continuing cards, care, concern, uplifting message and love, shown to Mrs. Bryant as she battled cancer at her son's home in Huntsville, Alabama.
