Marguerite B. Herbert Newman, 71, of Kinsale, passed away at home on August 7, 2006. She left three surviving children and their spouses who will miss her very much. Cynthia Gail Washburg of Village, Page Randolph Stoner, spouse of Robert F, Stoner, both of Harryhogan, and Tyler Hartwell Newman, spouse of Candy Newman, both of Callao. William V. Sanders was a long term friend and companion.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest S. Herbert, mother, Margaret Virginia Hundley Herbert, brothers, Jack Herbert and Ernest Herbert, sisters, Marilyn Herbert Minerva Bryant and Virginia Webb.
Surviving siblings are Mariana Evans of Richmond, Alice Derrickson of Lyells, Blake Tyler Herbert of Texas, and Claire Taylor of Northern, Va., close friend William Ashburn of Lodge, and her beloved cousin Marie Herbert Mundie; four grandchildren, Adam Sanford Wilkins, Margaret Page Newsome, Jodi Newman, and Sandy Newman.
Marguerite Newman was the owner of Ford Motor Co. Building in Kinsale, where she had The Olde Furniture Roost Antiques and Upholstery Business before starting an Upholstery Business with her Daughter, Cynthia in Village, called "Cindy's Upholstery", where Marguerite worked until she retired. She was also a loving mother, caring friend, gifted artist, and generous to all.
