William was the son of George Sanford & Mary Elizabeth Frances "Fannie" (Morgan) Miller. He married Saleta Iola Shields in Denison, Grayson Co, TX on April 7, 1918.

Dora May (Wise) Miller, wife of Ernest Clyde Miller & daughter-in-law of William, said that she enjoyed being around her mother & father-in. They were a pleasant couple who were easy-going & mild-mannered.

W.E. MILLER passes away; rites Sunday

William Ernest Miller, 79, a retired farmer who spent most of his life in the Westminster community, died Friday in a Sherman hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Westminster Baptist Church, Rev. Donal Cox, officiating with burial in Elm Grove Cemetery. Turrentine - Jackson Funeral Directors will have charge of burial arrangements.

He was a son of George & Fannie Murphy Miller.

Surviving are two sons, Clyde Miller of Oklahoma; Darrell Miller of Virginia; two daughters, Mrs. W.B. Roberts, Wills Piont & Mrs. Henry Boswell, Ft. Worth; 14 grandchildren & five sisters: Mrs. Lela Byrd, Ft. Worth; Mrs. E.E. Dunham, Mrs. J.A. Simpson, Mrs. Ina Belew all of Sherman & Mrs. Zella Clark of Westminster.

His wife and a son preceded him in death.

Westminster - Funeral service for William Ernest Miller, 79, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday in the Westminster Baptist Church.

Mr. Miller died Friday in a Sherman hospital. Rev. Donal Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery directed by Turrentine-Jackson Funeral Home.

He was born Sept. 25, 1888 in Collin County. He had lived all of his life in Collin County & most of it in the Westminster area. He was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. George Miller. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Westminster Baptist Church and was a veteran of WWI. He was married to Saleta Shields April 7, 1908.

Services include two sons, Clyde Miller of Oklahoma & Darrell Miller of Virginia; two daughters, Mrs. W.B. Roberts of Wells Point & Mrs. Henry Boswell of Fort Worth; 14 grandchildren & five great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. E.E. Dunham, Mrs. J.A. Simpson & Mrs. Ina Bellew, all of Sherman; Mrs. Zella Clark, Westminster & Mrs. Lela Byrd of Fort Worth.

GUYMONITE'S FATHER DIES
W.E. Miller, 79, of Westminster, Tex., died Friday at Sherman, Tex., where he had been hospitalized for about a week. He was the father of Clyde Miller of 1525 N. Academy, Guymon, and had become acquainted with many local residents while visiting his son's family here.

Other survivors include two other sons, two daughters, four sisters, and 14 grandchildren including Janice, Keith and Royce Miller all of Guymon.

Funeral services were tentatively set Sunday at Westminster with the Turpintine-Jackson (Turrentine-Jackson) Funeral Home of McKinney, Tex., in charge of arrangements.
