The son of William Ernest & Saleta Iola (Shields) Miller, Clyde attended school in Anna, Texas. After graduation, he attended Lippart's Business College in 1 1/2 years in Plainview, Texas.
He married Dora May Wise on Sept. 13, 1947 in Sherman, Texas. They moved to Boise City in 1949 where he was secretary to Judge Board. In 1951, they moved to Guymon and Clyde worked for the First Judicial District of Oklahoma as Short-Hand Court Reporter, retiring in 1987 after 35 years of service. He served as the last short-hand reporter for the state of Oklahoma and was a member of the Oklahomas Short-Hand Reporter's Association where he was named outstanding Short-Hand Reporter for 1986-1987.
He was a pilot as an instructor and commercial sprayer and a member of the Experimental Aircraft Assoc. After his retirement, he and Dora May traveled and were camp hosts in several states and national parks including Sugarite Canyon State Park in Raton, N.M.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Ruth Boswell, Billy Joe Miller, Louise Roberts and Darrell Miller; his father and mother-in-law Olen and Mittie Wise; and grandson, Jimmy King.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years of the home, one daughter, two sons, and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, July 7, at the Guymon Church of Christ. Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery.
