Earl C. Lowrie, 77, of Lacy Lakeview, passed away Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011. A memorial service will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, at Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses, 2308 N. Valley Mills Dr. with Brother Bertran Bilton officiating.

Earl was born in Rosebud, Texas, to the late Elgin and Gertrude Lowrie, and attended school in Waco. He joined the U.S. Navy, and served during the Korean War. On Aug. 31, 1957, Earl married Nancy Knight in Waco. He worked as an auto mechanic amongst other various trades. Earl was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witness. His passions were racing, hunting, and vacationing with his family in Colorado.

He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Lacy Lakeview; daughters, Connie Lowrie, of Waco, and Stephanie Lowrie Vaughn and husband, Ronnie, of China Spring; son, Bob Lowrie and wife, DeDe, of Waco; grandchildren Devon McNair, Trevor McNair, Kelsey Reynolds, Rachael Lowrie, Stacy Finley, Staci Lowrie, Randi Lowrie, Stephanie Lowrie, VannWray Vaughn and Jessi Vaughn; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
