Nancy "Mama Nanny" Lowrie, 72, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family Friday, Feb.3, 2012. Services will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at the funeral home.

Nancy Ann was born in McLennan County, Texas, to the late George H. "Bogue" and Jennie Elvada Brink Knight. Nancy was a lifelong member of Christian Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses, loving the fellowship of her Christian brothers and sisters. She loved dancing, music, and organizing social events for her beloved friends and family. Nancy never met a stranger, always striking up conversations with everyone she come across. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lowrie; sisters, Laverne and Evalina; and brother, W.T.

She is survived by her daughters, Connie Lowrie and Stephanie Lowrie Vaughn and husband, Ronnie; son, Bob Lowrie and wife, DeDe; grandchildren, Devon, Trevor, Kelsey, Rachael, Stacy, Staci, Stephanie, Randi, VannWray and Jessi; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Lester, George, and Robert; sisters, Earlene, Lorine, Lanell, and Elise; and many other family members and friends.
