Mathews, July 10 - Dabney G. Baker Jr., 77, died in Mathews County today. A native of Richmond, he had made his home in Mathews for most of his life.
Mr. Baker had bee a member of the Vestry of Christ Episcopal Church for 48 years and a member of Oriental Lodge No. 20, AF & AM, for 52 years.
He is survived by his wife, Florence B. Baker of Mathews; a son, Dabney G. Baker III of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Robert L. Sears of Norfolk and Mrs. Robert H. Cole of Baltimore; and a grandson, Dabney G. Baker IV of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be held at 11 A. M. Thursday at Christ Episcopal Church conducted by the Rev. Philip Rigg, rector. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of the Vestry of Christ Church.
