THELMA GLADYS NOLEN WOODWARD KNIPPLE, 91, of Ripley, Miss., formerly of Memphis, died Friday at Tippah County Hospital in Ripley. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Elmwood. She was a teacher and lecturer on the Bible and worked for Senatobia (Miss.) Baddour Center for the Retarded. She leaves four daughters, Mickey Laukhuff and Ilene Grohman, both of Memphis, Marvis Crumpton of New Albany, Miss., and Alice O'Bannon of Metairie, La.; a stepdaughter, Ruth Morris of Memphis; five stepsons, James Woodward Jr. of Memphis, Harold Knipple and James Knipple, both of Millington, Kenny Knipple of Walls, Miss., and Sidney Knipple of Hoxie, Ark., nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
