Janyce Bateman Fox was born on July 29, 1932 at Midvale, Utah to Alberto Wilbur (Bert) Bateman and Sophie Olive Kunz. Janyce was blessed by Bishop Henry Beckstead on Sept. 11, 1932. Janyce was baptized a member of the LDS Church by LeGrand Black Sept. 1, 1941. She was confirmed on Sept. 1, 1940 by B. A. Rasmussen. She started school in Midvale, Utah on May 27, 1938.
Janyce married Arlen C. Fox on Feb. 7, 1956, later divorced. Children of Arlen Fox and Janyce Bateman included Shari Fox and Layne Fox
Stepdaughters Rhonda Fox and Julie Fox
Employed at Guardian Title for 10 years. She was an endowed and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Janyce was endowed at the Jordan River Temple on Jan. 13, 1990, and died on April 26, 1990 at home at Sandy, Salt Lake County, Utah of cancer.
Funeral services will be held at the Canyon View Ward, 9119 South 1300 East, Sandy, Monday, April 30, 1990 at 12 noon. A viewing will be held for family and friends Sunday, April 29, from 6-8 p.m. at the Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street or Monday at the Ward one hour prior to services.
