Amanda Sophia Carlsson was born in Lilltomten, Levene, Skaraborg, Sweden on 12-5-1876 of Johannes & Anna Andersdotter Carlsson. They came to Minnesota in 1884 when she was age 8. She married Samuel W. Biggar in about 1895 in MN. They moved west to Kalispell, MT then to Bonners Ferry, ID by about 1902. Moved to St. Maries,ID in 1921, Lewiston, ID by 1930, to Yakima, WA where Sam died in 1947. She had 3 daughters & 3 sons. Amanda moved to Las Vegas, NV with her sons in 1948 and died there in 1963.
