FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR DELTA MOTHER

Funeral services were held in the Delta First Ward Monday for Mrs. J.A. Skidmore. Bishop O.A. Gardner was in charge of the service. The following program was carried out: Opening song "Abide With Me" sung by the choir. Prayer by John Egan. Talk by H.J. Schlappi of Springville, formerly of Delta. He told of his friendship of the Skidmore and Allen's families. Talk by Mrs. Gene Gardner. She spoke of the good neighbor they had been. Vocal solo "Face to Face" by Ladd Cropper accompanied by Mrs. Cropper. Talk by Charles H. Skidmore, a brother of J.A. Skidmore and Supt. of Schools in Utah. Violin Solo - "Perfect Day" by Mrs. Norma Hannifin, accompanied by Norma Wright. Closing Remarks by Bishop Gardner. Closing song "Shall We Meet" sung by the choir. Prayer by George S. Boyack. Mrs. Skidmore had eleven children and ten of them are living. Two of her sons were unable to attend the services. Frank because of being ill himself and William who is in the Armed Forces overseas. Burial was held in the Delta cemetery.
