Haskell Findley Died Saturday At Age 89
---Haskell Findley, 89, 110 S. Hillsdale, Homer, died at Foote hospital at Jackson Saturday evening following a long illness. Born July 27, 1879 in Calhoun County the son of Laurel and Sarah (Brown) Findley, he attended the Quaker Mills rural school in the Homer area.
---On Oct. 5, 1899 he married Miss Arthul Lyons in Marshall. They lived in Tekonsha for a few years then moved to a farm south of Homer where he had resided for the past 33 years. After selling their farm they purchased the present home in Homer. Mrs. Findley preceded him in death in 1959.
---He was a member of the Homer Masonic lodge and had been a member of the former Knights of Pythias lodge in the Homer village.
---Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Sam (Hattie) Chamberlain, Homer, Mrs. Roy (Mida) McComb of Pentleton, Ore.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Haskell Findley, Homer, who died in a Jackson hospital Saturday night, will be held at the Mains funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Ronald Wise of the Homer United Methodist church officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview cemetery, Homer.
