Ella Mavinee Bishop, 96 of Addison, entered into rest on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mavinee was born on August 21, 1925 in Addison, Alabama to William Harrison Hamrick and Ruby Mae Dickerson Hamrick.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 12-1pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be at 1pm. Elder Steve Woods will officiate. Burial will follow in Kemp Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mavinee is survived by her son, Odis Paul Bishop and his wife Karen; daughters, Susan Bishop Shadix, and Julia Bishop; daughter-in-law, Marion Bishop; grandchildren, Lori Spain and her husband Royce, Jennifer McCord and her husband Shannon, Michele Hudson and her husband Dean, Josh Bishop, Ashley Dutton and her husband Miles, Leah Lee and her husband Justin, Andrea Phillips and her husband Brian, and Ethan Shadix and his wife Kaytlyn; 12 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Roxie Allen and Ivanell Harrison; and sister-in-law, Annie Mae Brumley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Leroy Bishop; son, James Ellis "Hez" Bishop; grandson, Aaron Paul Bishop; son-in-law, Dale Shadix; parents, Will and Ruby Hamrick; brothers, Othell, Orton, Arnold, and Hewitt Hamrick; sisters, Obera Knighten, Arrie Vincent, Sheryl and Shelby Hamrick.
