Velma Hatch Arnold was born May 26, 1925 in Woodruff, Arizona, to Adelbert and Josephine Turley Hatch. She died November 17, 1997, in Orem, Utah.

As a young girl, she moved to Provo, Utah where she attended schools. She married George Donald Eldredge August 7, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were divorced in 1972. She married Orson Pratt (Bud) Arnold, August 23, 1986. She loved the Lord and the scriptures and tried to live His teachings. She served mission to Minnesota, Brazil and was a member locater. She loved her family, people, quilting, gardening and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.She is survived by her husband, Orson, of Orem; her children, Don (Kaye) Eldredge, Provo; Susan (Vernon) Moon, Layton; Tanya Carpenter, Garland; Cheryl (Gary) Krum , Elizabeth (Rob) Nesbit, all of Springville; Randy (Chris) Eldredge, Loyalton, California; Rebecca (David ) Hoyt, Orem; her stepchildren, Johns S. (Wanda) Arnold, Tooele; Thomas M. (Lollie) Arnold, Taylorsville; Pamela (Joe) Ortega, Carol Barksdale, all of Orem; Kelly L. Arnold, Salt Lake City; 44 grandchildren; 21 step-grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Quinn (Dorothy) Hatch, Orem; Esther LeVitre, Salt Lake City; Ronald (Renae) Hatch, Provo; Kay (Melvin) Davidson, Aiken, South Carolina; sisters-in law, Ruth and Colleen Hatch, both of Orem; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Kearl, Arizona. She was preceded in death by a son, Marc Linne' Eldredge, a granddaughter, Mishel Moon Ipsen; her parents; her brothers, Jay Hatch, Leo Hatch; her sisters, Reva Bennett, Dorothy Kearl, Glenna Itri; and one step-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 20, 1997 at 10 a.m. in the Windsor First Ward, 1390 North Main, Orem. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 600 East 800 North, Orem, and Thursday at the church from 8:45-9:45 a.m prior to the services. Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
