As a young man he served a mission to His beloved Brazil. Upon his return he served his Country in the Army Medical Corp and was stationed at Fort Barnes Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington. There he met and married Nadine June Wells. They were married for 26 years and had 3 children prior to her death in 1968. In Vancouver he owned and operated Arnold Dental Laboratory.
In 1970 he returned to Brazil as President of the Brazil South Mission with his wife, Colleen Joy Arnold, serving from July 1970 to September 1973.
His third mission, a proselyting one, was served with his third wife, Velma Arnold, in Curitiba from December 1989 to July, 1991.
The fourth and last mission was a temple mission which he served with his fourth wife, Patricia Mitchell Arnold, first in the São Paulo Temple, later in the Porto Alegre Temple from July 2000 to February 2002.
Orson is survived by his wife Patricia Mitchell Arnold, his son Thomas (Julie) Arnold, daughters Pamela Arnold, Kelly Arnold, and numerous grand, great- grand and great-great grandchildren. He was prceded in death by his wives Nadine, Joy, and Velma, his son John, daughter Carol and (daughter in law) Elana.
Viewing will be held Thursday January 7 at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home. 646 E. 800 N. Orem. Funeral Services will be held Friday January 8 at the Windsor 1st Ward Chapel 1505 N. 145 E. at 11:00 a.m. viewing prior to funeral from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1101 NE 112th Ave., Vancouver, WA on Sat., Jan. 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
