ZIMMERLE, Ruth Wallace 100, of St. Marys, formerly of Butler Twp., passed away Friday Oct. 15, 2010 at Otterbein St. Marys. She was born April 26, 1910 in Olin, Iowa, and recently celebrated her 100th birthday. Ruth was the oldest of 10 children of Bruce & Ethel Darling. She married Lorain (Ray) Wallace in June 1929, he later died in 1972. Ruth married Wilbur Zimmerle in 1986, he later died in 1988. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Vandalia, Ohio, and had been active in the Blue Army in Dayton. Survived by 4 sisters, Jody, Betty, Bobbie & Pauline; daughter, Ruth Chesnut; son, Thomas Wallace & his wife Joan; 7 grandchildren (1 deceased), 19 great grandchildren & 13 great-great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at St. Christopher Church, 435 E. National Road in Vandalia. Fr. Frank Keferl, celebrant. Interment Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City, Ohio. The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to mass (10-11 a.m.) at the church. If desired, memorials may be made to Grand Lake Hospice, 1122 E. Spring St., St. Marys, OH 45885. Arrangements by the GEORGE C.
