Kittie was the daughter of Henry Eugene Burns and Mae Henry Anderson. She married Louie Alford Evans on 11 Nov 1938. Kittie and Louie had the following children: Peggy Rue, Margaret Sue, and Stacey Susanne.

Kittie was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Denton; she retired from the Denton State School in June 1981.

Kittie was living in Mount Vernon at the time of her death at the Franklin County Hospital. She had been living in Bogata.

Louie preceeded Kittie in death, dying 28 Jul 1981. He's buried in Bogata Cemetery.

Funeral services were at the First Baptist Church in Bogata with the Rev. Larry Hinsley officiating. Burial was in Bogata Cemetery with the Bogata Funeral Home handling the arrangements. Kittie's nephews served as pallbearers.

Kittie's obituary listed the following survivors: three daughters, Peggy Rue Rogers of Mount Vernon, Margaret Sue Thomas of Sacramento, California and Stacey Susanne Evans of Mount Vernon; one brother, Edgar Burns of Bogata; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
