July 4, 1915, he married Sadie Harvey at Wyaconda, Missouri.
Surviving are his widow, two sons, William of Fort Madison and Virgil of East St. Louis, Illinois, two daughters, Nancy Lee at home, Mrs. Stanley Richards, Cedar Rapids, one brother, John of Missouri, three sisters, Mrs. Price Dochterman and Mrs. Louis Bertram, both of Wyaconda, and Mrs. Bert Herring, Arbela, Missouri and four grandchildren.
Two children preceded him in death.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m. (CST) Thursday in Clements Chapel, Fort Madison with the Revds. A. L. Bradbury and Lawrence E. Jones officiating. Burial was in Blaettner Cemetery near Wyaconda.
