Amos, Clem H., 87, of Paden City, WV died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at his residence. Clem was born December 29, 1922 on Chisel Finger Ridge in Wetzel county, WV the son of the late Clem and Lula Mercer Amos. He was a retired employee of the Sample Room for Wissmach Glass and a Christian by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Vivian Amos and son, Clem A. Amos.

Surviving are his wife, of forty-one years, Irene Loy Amos; two step children, Danny Gilbert and his wife, Susan and Donna Parsons and her husband, Ed both of Paden City, WV; five grandsons, Lane and Dean Amos, Jeremy Gilbert, Jay Parsons and his wife, Monica, Justin Parsons; seven grand daughters, Connie Ann Hemnla and her husband, Bobby, Sonia Worchock and her husband, George, Robin Gilbert, Connie Sue Reynolds and Westi Alderman, Adriana Gilbert and Lynnsie Parsons; three brothers, Ed Amos and his wife, Katie of Sistersville, WV, Burl Amos of Florida, and Jim Amos and his wife, Shirley of Paden City, WV; two sisters, Retta Jane Zantene of Ohio and Gertrude Davis of Paden City, WV; sixteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends received 3 – 8 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2010 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes, Paden City where funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2010 with Rev. David Snyder officiating
