Amos, Irene L., 74, of Paden City, WV passed away, Wednesday, June 22, 2011 in Pittsburgh, PA.
Irene was born February 24, 1937 in New Martinsville, WV daughter of the late Walter and Bessie Cross Loy.
She was retired from the Paden City Corning Glass Plant with 25 years of service; a Christian by faith; she dearly loved her family, friends and neighbors.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clem Amos, Jr.; brother, Irvin Loy and stepson, Clem "Sonny" Amos III.
Surviving are her son, Danny (Susan) Gilbert and daughter, Donna (Ed) Parsons both of Paden City; grandchildren, Samuel Jay Parsons, Justin Parsons, Lynnsie Parsons, Jeremy Gilbert, Adrianna Gilbert Beaver, Layn Amos, Dean Amos, Connie Hemnila, Sonia Amos Worchock, Robin Amos Gilbert, Westi Amos, Connie Sue Reynolds; special friends, Pete and Mary Jo Lauderman and Barbara Huffman Smith; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews complete the family.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Jarvis-Williams Funeral Homes in Paden City where services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2011 with Ron Crowe officiating.
Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens in New Martinsville, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made, in Irene's name, to the Paden City Garden Club, % Linda Duke, 108 E Adams Street, Paden City, WV 26159.
