Bartz, Franz (April 16, 1855-March 13, 1928 –husband of Maria Bruenig [married Feb. 7, 1878 in a religious ceremony in Gravesville, Calumet County] –son of August Wilhelm Bartz and Emilie Ernestine Vogt –born in Prussia –immigrated to the US with his parents and siblings in 1864 –from Sept. 19, 1891 until his death in 1928 owned the 40 acres of swampland in the SE1/4 of the NW1/4 of Section 7, Town of Eaton –these 40 acres were part of his farm in the Town of Rantoul, Calumet County –died from “apoplexy
–arteriosclerosis”)
–buried at the EUB Cemetery at Potter in Town of Rantoul, Calumet County [marriage record Calumet 2-42] [death record Calumet 8-295]
