Capt. Alston Bonds migrated to Texas from Missouri. Records gathered by Odell M.Conoley in the 1970's indicate that he was an officer in the Confederate States Army and a farmer. His second wife was Francis Tate Conoley, fourth daughter of Rev.M.C.Conoley,Sr. After she died in child birth, he married her sister, Mary Hadley Conoley, the third child of Rev.Conoley. He died in the Conoley Community and was buried at the Conoley Cemetery.
