Mary Hadley, the third child of Rev.M.C.Conoley,Sr. and Nancy Ann Thomson was named after her maternal grandmother, Mary Hadley Thomson. She migrated to Texas at the age of eleven years with her family and grew to maturity at West Columbia and Brenham,TX.In 1867 at the age of twenty seven, aproximately ten months after the untimely death of her sister, Francis Tate Conoley Bonds, she became the third wife of her brother-in-law, Capt.Alston Boyd Bonds. To this union were born seven children in addition to the three of Capt.Bonds by former marriages. With the exception of one child, Anita Etheleen, all of these children reached maturity. Shortly after the birth of her last child,Anita Etheleen, Mary Hadley died in 1880 at the age of forty.
