Baker Funeral Saturday
Funeral services for Herbert Baker of Gonzales, who died at 4 p.m. Thursday in Holmes Community Hospital will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Buffington Funeral Home.
John Graham, pastor of Full Gospel Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Pilgrim Cemetery.
Baker, a farmer and rancher all his life, was born August 19, 1897 in Gonzales County to Hiram Baker and Alice Katherine Webb. His parents are buried in Pilgrim Cemetery.
Baker married Mary Hester July 22, 1915.
Survivors are his widow of Route Three in Gonzales, a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Null of Seguin, a son, Emmet Baker of Gonzales, brother, Zilmon Baker of Gonzales, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by three children and one brother.
