Services were held June 30 for Zilmon James Baker of Gonzales. Mr. Baker passed away June 28 at Cartwheel Inn.
He was born November 5, 1912 in the Pilgrim Community to Hiram Baker and Sarah Whitehead Baker. A life-long plumber, he married Florence Townsend May 1, 1937. They had five children and are survived by daughters, Allie Marie Valenta, of Gonzales; Evelyn Jo Pfuhl of Shiner; Juanita Jane Iley, of Gonzales; and Elizabeth Ann Hahn, of Gonzales.
He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and both parents.
Interment was held at the Pilgrim Cemetery with the Rev. Carolyn Ochs officiating.
