She was born on August 8, 1929, in Cismont, a daughter of the late Percy F. Walker and Dulcie V. Walker. Mrs. Brown was a retired preschool teacher and a lifetime member of Grace Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth L. Brown of Cismont; two daughters, Debra L. Nidel and hr husband, Bill, Lorrie Anne Bricker and her husband, Bill; one son, Thomas L. Brown and his wife, Darlene; two brothers, Earl F. Walker and his wife, Ruby, James W. Walker and his wife, Ruth; two sisters, Helen W. Chisolm and her husband, Everett, Myra Lee Sandridge and her husband, Don; five grandchildren, T.J. Stargell, Danielle Bricker, Alex Brown, Miranda Bricker and Anna Brown; one great-grandchild, Lexi Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Grace Episcopal Church in Cismont with interment following at the church cemetery. The Reverend Julie Norton officiated.
The family received friends from Friday, June 11, 2010, at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville.
