Roland Phillip Bufford, 58 of 4346 S. Handle, victim of a two auto collision Friday on Webb R. south of Kellogg, died Sunday at Wesley Hospital.
An eight-year resident of Wichita, he was employed at Beech Aircraft Corp. as parts supply distributor.
Mr. Bufford was born Nov. 16, 1901 at Girard, Alabama. He married the former Miss Ellen Westervelt on Jan. 11, 1944 in Fredonia, Kansas.
He was a member of the Christian church and of International Association of Machinists.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Shirley Ann and Cathy Bufford; a son, Roland Phillip Bufford Jr., and his mother, Myrtle Bufford all of the home. Another daughter, Mrs. Wilma Colvin, Harrisonville, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Louise Byers, Tonkawa, Okla., and Mrs. Ilene Ghan, 4741 S. Seneca; a sister, Mrs. Earl Keys, Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, Chester Bufford, Rock Springs, Wyo.; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at South Seneca Baptist Church, 4502 S. Seneca, with the Rev. John W. Carter, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
