Philip Charles Shuey of Parker, retired from Martin Marietta after 33 years, died Nov. 12, 1997. He was 69.

A mass was said Nov. 19 at Ave Maria Catholic Church. Internment was in Fort Logan National Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 1, 1928 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a seaman in the US Navy. On June 18, 1956, he married Mary Jane Will in Des Moines, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife Mary Jane, four daughters; Kathryn Peterson and Anne Medina, both of Aurora, Mary Parker and Amy Martinet of Denver and nine grandchildren.
