Kathryn Shuey, daughter of Thomas and Johanna (Sheehy) Lacey, was born in Dodge Township, Boone County, Iowa, December 29, 1889 and died at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa, May 11, 1967.
She was united in marriage to Charles Frank Shuey at Des Moines, Iowa, July 19, 1922 and to this union 2 sons and 2 daughters were born.
Mrs. Shuey had one sister, Mary (Lacey) Byrne Lindmark and five brothers: Thomas, James, John, Patrick and Michael. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors include 2 sons, Thomas of Santa Clara, California, and Phillip of Littleton, Colorado, 2 daughters, Mrs. Darrell(Joanne) Davis of Augusta, Georgia, and Audrey of Des Moines, 17 grandchildren, a brother, M. F. Lacey of Boone, and a number of nieces and nephews.
