Dwayne R. Clooten, 58, Bismarck, died Oct. 21, 2008, at his home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at House of Prayer Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. David Swonger officiating. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. in Glencoe Cemetery, Glencoe.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan, with a prayer service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues one hour before services at the church.

Dwayne was born Oct. 20, 1950, at Bismarck, to Ben and Violet (Burtts) Clooten. He was raised and educated in Bismarck and graduated from Bismarck High School. On June 20, 1975, he married Paulette Goetz in Richardton. Dwayne worked for Harlow's Bus Service Inc. for 18 years, where he drove school bus and charter coach. He also drove delivery for Millennium Express, and most recently worked for Target stocking. He loved the times he spent outdoors hunting deer and fishing. He enjoyed all the time he spent together with friends and family playing cards and visiting. His favorite trips were down to the casino, but Dwayne also took pleasure in all of the family trips he was able to take.

He is survived by his wife, Paulette; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Mark Bachler, Bismarck; one brother and sister-in-law, Blaine and Coleen Clooten, Bismarck; one grandson, Austin Clooten; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Goetz, Richardton; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gary and Gladys Goetz, Richardton, Randy and Sandi Goetz, Dickinson, and Mark and Lois Goetz, Richardton; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Candice and Bob Stastny, Mandan, Pam Pullen, Dickinson, and Janal and Harvey Hoff, Richardton; and many nieces and nephews.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Elaine Zarr; and an infant daughter, Hope.
