She was born in Villisca April 10, 1882, to James and Elizabeth Bowman. A resident of Davis County more than 50 years, she was affiliated with the United Brethren Barker Church. She married Chesley Chapman Kinney on Feb. 12, 1902, at Memphis, Mo.
Surviving are two sons, Virgil of Kirksville, Mo., and Leland of Milton; one daughter, one sister, Mrs. Minnie Kinney of Ottumwa; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, one daughter, four brothers, one sister, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild preceded her in death.
The service was held today at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with the Rev. Lowell Newland officiating, assisted by the Rev. Lauris Meek. Burial was in Barker Cemetery at Scotland County, Mo.
