Leo F. Baker
Leo F. Baker, 70, 38 E. Water St., Gettysburg, formerly of Biglerville, died Wednesday evening at Michael Manor.
Born in Arendtsville, he was the son of the late Roy S. and Emma (Kuhn) Baker.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was a farmer and machinist in the Biglerville area most of his life. He was a former Butler Township Supervisor.
For a number of years, he was employed as a fruit inspector for the United States Department of Agriculture. He was a member of the Biglerville Fire Company and a charter member of the Biglerville Historic Society.
He was a graduate of Biglerville High School and attended Penn State University. He was also a major participant in "Mr. Lincoln Goes to Gettysburg."
He is survived by a sister, Helen E. King, Gettysburg; three brothers, Charles E. Baker, Biglerville; Roy S. Baker, York, and Fred W. Baker, Arendtsville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg with the Rev. E. Edward Keyser officiating. Interment will be in the Biglerville Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2.
