Funeral services for Burlin Gideon, 39, of Ozark, were at 2:00 p.m. Monday in Harris Chapel, Ozark. The Rev. Max Edmondson officiated. Burial was in Shipman Cemetery. Mr. Gideon died at 4:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3 in his parents home after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of the Sparta and Ozark communities. Survivors include two sons, Richard Gideon of Springfield, and Russell Gideon of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Gideon of Ozark; four brothers, Leon, Linville, Phillip Gideon, all of Ozark, and Don Gideon of San Jose, Illinois.
