Services for Leon Gideon, 55, Ozark, will be held Aug 22 in Harris Chapel with the Rev. Gary Jennings officiating. Burial will be in Shipman Cemetery near Sparta. Mr. Gideon died Aug. 18 in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, after an illness of eight weeks. A lifelong resident of the Sparta and Ozark communities, he was a pipe layer for Journagan Construction Company. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; a son, Stanley, Ozark; three daughters, Vickey Cobb and Glenda Hale, both of Rogersville and Sherry Weatherford, Ozark; nine grandsons; his mother, Laura Gideon, Ozark; and three brothers, Don, Mason City, Illinois and Lenvil and Phil, both of Ozark.
