Laura L. Gideon, age 88, of Ozark, died Wednesday June 24, 1998, in her home. She was born Aug. 22, 1909, near Sparta and was the daughter of William Kelly and Margaret (Butler) Gann. Mrs. Gideon retired from the Christian County Nursing Home, and a Christian, a member of Sparta Baptist Church. Survivors include: two sons, and their wives; Lenvil and Rovinna Gideon and Phil and Lucille Gideon, all of Ozark; 12 grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Guy Leonard Gideon in1974; three sons, Leon, Burlington, and Don Gideon; two grandchildren; three sisters; and two brothers. Funeral services were 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27, in Adams Funeral Home, with Robert Gideon officiating. Burial was in Shipman Cemetery, Sparta.
