Augusta was a daughter of Robert Seidel and Wilhelmina Thomas, and granddaughter of August and Maria Seidel. She married Albert Walter (A.W.) Dunn in January 18, 1883 in Goliad, Texas. They had one daughter, Minnie Elizabeth. Augusta died at the very young of 19 years and 6 months.
After Augusta's untimely death, A.W. gave guardianship for Minnie Elizabeth to Augusta's uncle Herman E.P. Seidel and his wife Sophie Kohrs Seidel. They raised Minnie until her marriage to Otto Herman Porter.

Dr. T.H. Knott, of Goliad, was in Victoria this week, called here professionally in the case of Mrs. Dunn. When he reached his patient however, she was beyond human skill and died on Monday.
