Deceased Name: MARGARET LOUISE CAWOOD
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 1994, in Mt. Scott Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Cawood died Oct. 17 of complications of multiple sclerosis at age 81.

She was born Dec. 23, 1912, in Bandon. She graduated from North Bend High School in 1929 and attended Willamette University.

In North Bend, she was a newspaper reporter and worked at a Navy base during World War II.

She was active in the Democratic party and served as a precinct committeewoman in Southeast Portland for 15 years. In 1964, she was elected clerk of Multnomah County District Court.

Her husband, William, died earlier.

Surviving are her sons, Neil of Eugene and Patrick of Auburn, Calif.; stepson, Donald of Portland; brother, Donald Hosking of Lebanon; and six grandchildren.
