Bruce Ballentine, 37, Born at Huey, Dies

SLIGO - Bruce Henry Ballentine, 37, of West Middlesex RD2, an employee of National Malleable in Sharon and former Clarion County resident, died of natural causes at 3:50am Tuesday in his home.

Born January 6, 1937, at Huey, he was a son of Daniel and Mary Goodman Ballentine.

He was married June 13, 1959, to the former Judy Carol Bonnett, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Walters, and his step-father, P.G. Walters, of Rimersburg RD; two daughters, Carole Jean, 10, and Brenda Eileen, 8, at home; a brother, Daniel Ballentine of Venus; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Mildred) Womeldorf of Portersville and Mrs. William (Mary) Womeldorf of Harmony; four half-brothers, Cleo Walters of Sligo, Lewis, Gardner, and Joseph Walters of Rimersburg RD1.

His father and a sister, Wilda, are deceased.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm today at the Hawk Funeral Home in Sligo, where funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday. Rev. J.C. Himes, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist Church at Wildcat, will officiate. Interment will be in the Sligo Cemetery.
