Ernest C. Adrian, 96, of Traverse City, Michigan, died 23 October 2001 at Munson Medical Center.

He was born on Oct. 6, 1905, in Alpena, the son of Henry Adrian and Mary (Egenriether) Adrian.

On Aug. 12, 1929, in Toledo, Ohio, he married the former Jean Leon Farrow, who preceded him in death on Aug. 5, 1993.

Ernest was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Leland. He enjoyed working with and repairing electronic equipment. Ernest was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army in World War II serving in Italy.

He was survived by his two sisters, Mrs. Fern Tisch of Fraser and Lorraine (Robert) Nelson of Shelby Township; two brothers, Roy Adrian of Marion and Harry (Trudy) Adrian of Alpena; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, John and Jean Schmidt.

He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Hazel, Clara and Ruth; and his brother, Martin.
